Every child deserves the chance to explore, try, and grow before they commit years to a degree or a job. Not to guess. Not to follow a title because it sounds impressive. But to start with clarity, confidence, and a real sense of purpose.
Why I built BehindTitles
At 15, a scholarship put me in classrooms with kids who could see career paths clearly, because they grew up next to the people who did the work. Their family friends were the lawyers, the doctors, the surgeons. Mine were not. When it was time to choose, they were choosing between things they had watched up close. I was choosing blind.
Choosing blind is expensive. I spent more than HKD 250,000 finding out that two paths were not mine. No brochure warned me, and no ranking could have. The only way to know was to get close to the real work, and I had no way in.
The other half of the story: whenever a door did open for me, it was because a person who had seen me work said so to someone who mattered. BehindTitles is both halves of what I was missing. A realistic look at the work before you commit years to it, and people who watch you do it and vouch for you.

Founded in Hong Kong as a project in the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge.
2023 · Feb
First in-person Joppetizer pilot, the Doctor Experience: 24 high-school students, with 10 more on the waitlist.
2023 · Mar
HKSEC Top 8 finalist, chosen from over 160 teams.
2023 · Summer
First full series of in-person Joppetizers: Architect, Screenwriter, Solicitor, Clinical Psychologist, Chiropractor, Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Scientist, and Startup Founder.
2024 · Summer
First healthcare series: Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Nurse, and Pharmacist.
2025 · Summer
The Ambassador Programme launches, with our first intern-co-created Joppetizer: Speech Therapist.
2025 · Oct
